You never know what's going to end up on your clothes by the end of the day. Whether you create the mess or it's tossed onto you, we all want our clothes to be kept clean. Although most people just toss clothes into the washer with laundry detergent, certain clothes need to be treated with special care because of the fabric. With regard to customized clothing, this is especially important and there are simple tricks to add to your usual washing routine to keep your clothes clean and keep them looking new.
Some people with custom t-shirts
may experience fading of the print after it has been washed several times. If the print looks faded out, it may be due to fibrillation. This occurs when fibers break loose from the ink when being washed. To protect your t-shirt from fading, turn your shirt inside out when washing and drying it. This protects the print from rubbing against other materials in the washer or dryer.Embroidered
material also needs special care. In the course of daily wear, something may spill or splash onto the design. If so, don't scrub or brush the threading, because it could cause it to loosen. Rather, blot the threading with a damp cloth to try and remove the spot. You can also spray spots with a stain remover if you know it will not leave a stain. After roughly ten minutes, blot with a clean cloth.
Some people prefer to protect custom designs by taping a white cloth to the outside of the design. After cleaning, just remove the tape and your material should look as clean and new as ever.
By following these simple steps, your customized work of art should stay fresh and look as good as new.
